The Delaware Department of Transportation (DelDOT) overviews the entire transportation network of the state and ensure safe and easy commuting of people and goods. Delaware Road Transportation

The interstate highways form an important part of inter-regional corridors in Delaware. The important Interstate Highways in Delaware are Interstate 95, Interstate 295 and Interstate 495.

Interstate 95: It runs along the East Coast of the United States from Miami, Florida north to the Canadian border in Houlton, Maine.

Interstate 295: It is an auxiliary Interstate Highway, designated as a bypass around Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Interstate 495: It serves as a six-lane bypass of I-95 around the city of Wilmington.

Adopt-A-Highway

The Delaware Adopt-A-Highway Program is formed collectively between the Transportation Department and volunteers who work together to make Delaware a clean place. It is a cleanup campaign which works to educate citizens of all ages about the responsibilities of land stewardship- the care and repair of the environment. According to the program organizations, groups, and individuals adopt stretches of roadway throughout the state.

Bridge Preservation Program
